On November 4, 2021,Xinyi Photovoltaic Industry (Anhui) Holdings Co., Ltd. held a grand ceremony todonate equity to the Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundation. As one of the firstpartners in the construction of Wuhu People's City, Xinyi Group (Glass) Co.,Ltd. fulfilled the original intention of "partnership" anddemonstrated the spirit of "Xinyi" through this generous act. Xinyi Photovoltaic Industry (Anhui) Holdings Co., Ltd. donated 100% of the equity of"Wuhu Xinyi Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd.", with assets valued at 100 million yuan, to the Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundation without any charge. Leadership attending the ceremony were WuhuMunicipal Party Secretary Mr.Dan Xiangqian, Deputy Secretary of Wuhu Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Mr.Ningbo, Wuhu City leaders Mr. Zhang Zhihong, Mr.YangZhibin, and Mr.Zhang Dong; Mr. Lee Yin Yee,a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's PoliticalConsultative Conference, Honorary Chairman of Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundation,and Chairman of the Board of Xinyi Group;Mr. Tung Ching Bor, Vice Chairman of the Board of Xinyi Group;Mr. Tung Ching Sai, Executive Director and CEO of Xinyi Glass; Li Youqing, Executive Director and CEO of Xinyi Solar and Mr.DongKuangshi, Executive Director and CEO of Xinyi Energy participated in the event. Officials from the Wuhu City Education Bureau, Civil Affairs Bureau, Finance Bureau, Health Commission, Taxation Bureau, Red Cross Society, and Charity Federation also attended the ceremony.
In his speech,President Mr. Tung Ching Sai of Xinyi Glass stated that in August of this year,Xinyi Group became one of the first partners in the construction of WuhuPeople's City, which is both an honor and a significant responsibility. Since its establishment in 1988, public charity has been deeply ingrained in Xinyi's DNA.For Xinyi, public charity is not just about monetary and material donations; itis treated as a cause to be pursued. This equity donationnot only ensures sufficient funds for the foundation but also provides a stablecash flow over the long term, It allows the foundation to continuously utilizeequity income for public welfare and charitable purposes, bolstering itsvitality and strength, and setting a precedent for public welfare and charityin Anhui Province.
Mr.Yang Zhibin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee, serving as both the Director of the Organization Department and the United Front Work Department, paid tribute to Xinyi Group and the Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundationon behalf of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee and Government. He emphasized that since its establishment in Wuhu in 2003, the Xinyi Wuhu Base has become the largest production hub of the Xinyi Group, significantly contributing tothe city's development. This donation marks an innovation in the charitable donation model of Wuhu. The designated funds will be used to provide pensionsand preferential treatments for outstanding teachers, doctors, and policeofficers in Wuhu, as well as to support student and teaching assistantactivities. This gesture fully showcases the social responsibility and missionof Xinyi Group, setting a commendable example for caring individuals andenterprises from all walks of life.
At the ceremony, Mr.LiYouqing, President of Xinyi Solar Energy, represented Xinyi Photovoltaic Industry(Anhui) Holdings Co., Ltd. to donate equity to Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundation.Gu Dahai, Director of Wuhu Civil Affairs Bureau, accepted the donation as a representative of the municipal government.
The Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundation conducted an on-site donation activity.
Meanwhile, at the ceremony, a dedication ceremony for XinyiYinhu Middle School was held, with the Xinyi Group Chairman Mr. Lee Yin Yee and Secretary of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee Mr.Shan Xiang qian jointly unveiling the plaque for Xinyi Yinhu Middle School.
The Wuhu Xinyi Charity Foundation was established in May2021, with Xinyi Photovoltaic Industry (Anhui) Holdings Co., Ltd. contributing2 million yuan as the original fund. The foundation is committed to providing police compensation and preferentialtreatment (including compensation and condolences for police officers and auxiliary police officers who have sacrificed or been injured in the line of duty, as well as assistance for police officers and auxiliary police officerswith serious illnesses), rewarding outstanding doctors and teachers, conducting educational and teaching assistance activities, assisting in natural disasters,epidemic prevention and control, and other social welfare and charity activities.
